Some venues are free; others require a ticket. Choose a single-venue ticket or a Passport Ticket for entry to multiple exhibitions (ideal for visitors exploring several venues).

INFORMATION MACHIYA
Hachiku-an (Former Kawasaki Residence)

 Open daily during the festival | 10:00–19:00

The festival’s main hub for tickets, books, goods, tea experiences, exhibition guidance, local recommendations, and bicycle rental (Passport Ticket required). Ideal for first-time visitors.

INFORMATION KIOSK AT KYOTO STATION

Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays only | 10:00–17:00

Located outside the JR Kyoto Station Central Gate (Kyoto Tower side). Get help with tickets and directions.

What’s On

14 exhibitions feature artists from 8 different countries to explore the 2026 festival theme “EDGE”.

Enjoy talks, tours, workshops, screenings, and more throughout the festival.

KG+ presents a satellite photography festival with over 130 exhibitions across the city.

Extending the festival into music and performance, the KYOTOPHONIE spring lineup brings together artists from South Africa, Brazil, France, Japan and beyond, with performances unfolding across distinctive venues throughout Kyoto.

Access (Getting Around Kyoto)

Walk, cycle (bikes available at Information Machiya), take public transport (train, bus, subway), or taxi between venues.
