KYOTOGRAPHIE PHOTOBOOK FAIR 2026

This event brings together publishers and bookstores from Japan and around the world, transforming Kyoto into a lively meeting point for photobook culture. The marketplace offers a rare opportunity for exhibitors to connect directly with visitors, encouraging conversation, discovery, and exchange.
Launched in 2021 as part of KG+, the satellite event of the KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, the event has grown into a key platform for photobook publishers. In 2025, it welcomed over 30 exhibitors from 8 countries, reflecting its expanding international reach and growing relevance.

How to Apply

In the event of a large number of applications, the organising committee will conduct a selection process.
Applicants will be notified of the results by early February.
Please note that we cannot respond to individual inquiries regarding the selection results or the reasons for our decisions.
Eligibility
We welcome exhibitors who focus on expression and activities centered around photobooks, including:
- Photographers
- Publishers
- Galleries
- Self-published/Independent photobook creators, and more.
Exhibition Content
Sales of photobooks, photography-related art books, ZINEs, etc.
Booth Details
- Booth Size: To be announced (Approx. maximum 1800mm x 900mm).
- Furnishings: Two chairs will be provided per exhibitor.
- Staffing: At least one representative must be present at the booth during fair hours.
- Equipment: Please bring your own cash box, shopping bags, stationery, tablecloths, and any other necessary supplies.
- Power Supply: Information regarding the availability of power outlets will be provided at a later date.
Exhibitor Fees (Tax Included)
Standard Booth (1800 x 900 mm): 22,000 JPY
Compact Booth (900 x 900 mm): 15,000 JPY
Payment instructions will be provided after your participation is confirmed.
*All table sizes are tentative and may be adjusted according to the final venue layout. Thank you for your understanding.
Venue Information
- Wi-Fi: There is no Wi-Fi available at the venue. Please prepare your own mobile router if internet access is required.
- Waste Management: A large amount of waste is expected. We kindly ask for your cooperation in sorting and managing trash.
Delivery & Parking
Parking: There is no dedicated parking at the venue. Unauthorized parking is strictly prohibited and vehicles may be towed. Short-term parking for loading/unloading is also not permitted. Please use nearby paid parking lots or coin-operated parking. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any parking-related issues or towing fees.
Shipping & Setup: Exhibitors may ship their materials in advance or bring them by hand on the designated setup day. Shipping instructions and the delivery address will be provided to successful applicants.
Cancellations and Refunds
In principle, cancellations will not be accepted once your participation has been confirmed.
If an exhibitor cancels for personal reasons, the exhibition fee is non-refundable.
In the event that the fair is cancelled due to natural disasters or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), policies regarding refunds or alternatives will be announced separately.
