Among them, the duets between artists with a traditional west African musical background and artists more familiar with western traditions (Chamber Music by Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal), but also albums by singer-songwriters (Chocolate Genius, Inc., Mélissa Laveaux or Solo Piano by Chilly Gonzales to name a few. In 2016, Nø Førmat! was recognized as one of Europe’s most inspiring young label and was selected by IMPALA and The Independent Echo for the FIVEUNDERFIFTEEN campaign.

"When we started working on the cover of Lucas' album 'O Paraíso', I presented him with some black and white paintings I had done years ago. It was a very personal work: I had tried to paint abstract motifs inspired by nature, with a view to fundamental research. I had never shown them, because I had never really finished them.
To my surprise, Lucas loved it and asked me for a color series. For him, Paradise is on earth; but when you are an artist, Paradise is total creation, the precise moment when God built the sky, the elements and beings. So I tried to draw shapes, possibilities of creation. Instead of drawing a tree, draw a branch, with which all the trees on Earth will be able to be created. Shell matrices, with which all the shells on Earth can be imagined. Algorithms, fractals, ways of doing things, maybe a bit like when the Creator made the world as it is. »
