- Emmy-award-winning photographer/filmmaker, Lauren Greenfield, is considered a preeminent chronicler of youth culture, gender, and consumerism as a result of her monographs (Girl Culture, Fast Forward, THIN), and documentaries (THIN, kids+money, Queen of Versailles). Queen of Versailles opened the 2012 Sundance Film Festival where it won Greenfield the Best Documentary Director Award. Her viral ad #LikeAGirl swept commercial awards, including 14 Cannes Lions, and earned Greenfield the #1 Director/Most Awarded Director by AdAge, the first woman to top this list. Her photographs have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Time, GQ and The Guardian, and are in many public and private collections. Her latest work, Generation Wealth, was released as a monograph by Phaidon in 2017, and is a travelling exhibition that opened at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles and was exhibited at the ICP in N.Y., the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, and will travel to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. Greenfield has directed a feature-length documentary, also entitled Generation Wealth that opened the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, screened at the Berlinale and SXSW, and will be released theatrically by Amazon Studios in July, 2018.
