Live madness with thorough sanity

This time, haku kyoto will hold a solo exhibition "Live madness with thorough sanity" by Takeshi Uematsu. In this exhibition, Uematsu will exhibit the video works exhibited at the Yamagata Biennale 2020 and the related photographic works. This video work, which consists of photographs taken by him, can be said to be a short film born from a series of photographs. This series is different from the street snapshots he usually takes in the city, It is the one that puts himself in nature, faces each other, and releases the shutter. The novelist Kosugi Tengai wrote in his book "Hayari Uta" that "Nature is natural. It is neither good nor evil. It is neither beauty nor ugliness. It is just a certain country in a certain era. People take a corner of nature and give it the name of good or evil or beauty or ugliness. " There is no clear stories and characters in this work. However, the viewer will imagine something in connection with memory and subconscious mind. there are different, and there is no right or wrong. No matter what, you are you and your surroundings are around you. "Live madness with thorough sanity"
