850nm

850nm is the wavelength of light, and the title 850nm stands for a photograph made from the invisible infrared light emitted by a security camera. Yuhan focuses not on the human aspect of photography, but on the mechanical gaze of camera. The camera he used to take the photographs is an ordinary digital single-lens reflex camera modified to work in the same way as a security camera. The camera was set to automatically take pictures only in response to a motion detector, and the pictures were layered on top of one another to create the artwork. The photographs were taken only with infrared rays of the specific wavelength used in a security camera, excluding all visible light rays. The shutter is not pressed by a person, but by the camera itself. Therefore, this setup could be called a security camera of a security camera. When all visible light is removed from a busy night street, the crowd appears to be walking like ghosts.
