K-NARF & SHOKO “PLASTÉONTOLOGIE PROJECT” Exhibition Tour

エースホテル

The PLASTEONTOLOGY PROJECT is based on a science-fiction expedition related to a new science invented by artist-duo K-NARF & SHOKO.
In between the imagination and reality, this project takes us into the future (year 2525) to bring awareness around the consequences of plastic pollution. It is a playful approach to a serious matter.

In this tour, K-NARF & SHOKO will lead you on a tour of their exhibition, during which participants will take part in a game where they guess how long it takes for everyday plastics to decompose in nature.

Please state which day you would like to join in the reservation form.

K-NARF & SHOKO

French/Japanese artist-duo K-NARF & SHOKO
transforms the ordinary of their daily life into Extra-Ordinary photographic projects.
In all their creations they use an unconventional approach to photography based on TAPE-OGRAPHY(
1): a neo-analogue processing technique invented by K-NARF in 2008 and directly
affiliated to the BRICOLAGE Art movement(2).
K-NARF & SHOKO are not photographers, they play pretend being ones, itʼs slightly different !
Thus, they create an entirely playful photographic world halfway in between reality and
imagination where past, present and future are always interconnected.
Whether they are small projects or large-scale installations, everything is self-produced in their
studio using simple, available tools and materials often sourced at local DIY stores, stationery
shops or hardware stores.
