Ink Bellflower -Whisper ©Syoh Yoshida

Syoh Yoshida’s consistently black and white works target natural and everyday scenery using ink and the basic materials employed in Eastern painting. The subject of this exhibition is “traditional and modern” craftsmanship of Kyoto. By developing video, photography, and painting, Yoshida captures “beautiful scenes of traditional craftsmanship” through interviews in each venerable workshop.
