The Yoshida Dormitory of Kyoto University is the oldest functioning dormitory in Japan, and students live there to this day. With its 100 year history, the Yoshida Dormitory has witnessed the lives of many students and is filled with the their vibrant energies. The slow decay of the building’s wooden structure is layered with human scents, traces, and their presence. The exhibition portrays the quiet passion of the students, and is held at the Yoshida Dormitory, the very place they live.
