Hong Kong’s legislation, “Fugitive Offenders and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Legislation (Amendment) Bill 2019”, proposed by the Hong Kong government, has triggered hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong people to take to the street in opposition since June 2019. These fierce and ongoing protests are at a scale the city has never seen before.
Chan Kai Chun series captured ninety-nine teenagers who participated in the movement. A multi-media installation including photographs, video, texts and audio is used to present the protestors thoughts and feelings.
